Privacy Policy
Effective October 5, 2026
Little Echoes ("we", "us") is an app that helps parents record their children's voices and keep them in a private journal. This policy explains what information the app collects, why, who it is shared with, and how you can delete it. If you have any questions, email support@davoxa.com.
Who the app is for
Little Echoes is meant to be used by parents and guardians. Children do not create accounts or sign in. The parent sets up the account, decides what to record, and controls every recording. We do not knowingly allow children to use the app on their own.
Information we collect
- Account information: your email address and password when you sign up with email, or your name and email address from Apple or Google if you choose Sign in with Apple or Sign in with Google. With Sign in with Apple you can choose to hide your email, in which case we only receive a private relay address from Apple. Passwords are handled by our authentication provider and are never visible to us.
- Profile information you enter: your first name and avatar, and for each child their name, date of birth (used to choose age-appropriate questions) and avatar.
- Content you create: voice recordings and video clips, the question each recording answers, optional mood tags and notes, custom questions you write, and your recording history and streaks.
- Subscription status: whether you have an active subscription and which plan. Payments are processed by Apple; we never receive your card or bank details.
- Usage and device information: events such as finishing onboarding, completing a recording session or starting a subscription, together with basic device information (device model, operating system version, app version, language, and an app-specific identifier). We use this to understand how the app is used and to fix problems.
- Advertising attribution: when you install the app, we record which ad campaign (if any) led to the install. Your device's advertising identifier (IDFA) is only collected if you allow tracking when iOS asks you.
The app uses your microphone and camera only while you are recording, and only after you give permission. Reminder notifications are scheduled on your device.
How we use information
- To provide the app: create your account, show daily questions, save, sync and play back your recordings, and restore them when you sign in on another device.
- To manage your subscription and unlock the features you paid for.
- To send the reminders you choose.
- To measure and improve the app and our marketing, and to keep it secure.
- To answer you when you contact support.
We do not sell your personal information, we do not show ads in the app, and we never use your child's recordings for advertising or to train AI models.
Service providers we share information with
We use a small number of providers who process information on our behalf and only for the purposes above:
- Supabase: account sign-in, database and private file storage for your profile and recordings.
- Apple: App Store payments and subscriptions, and Sign in with Apple if you choose it.
- Superwall: showing subscription plans and checking whether your subscription is active.
- Google: only if you choose Sign in with Google.
- PostHog: app usage analytics.
- AppsFlyer: install attribution for our advertising.
Each of these providers is required, by contract or by its own published terms, to protect your information with the same or equal protection as described in this policy, and may use it only to provide its service to us.
We may also disclose information if required by law, or to protect the rights and safety of our users or others.
Where your recordings are stored
Recordings are saved on your device and backed up to private cloud storage linked to your account. They are sent over encrypted connections, and access is restricted so that only your signed-in account can read them. Recordings are only shared with other people if you choose to share them yourself, for example with grandparents.
How long we keep information
We keep your information for as long as you have an account. You can delete any single recording at any time in the Memories tab. When you delete your account, we delete your account, profiles, recordings, videos and history from our servers immediately; copies in routine backups are removed within 30 days.
Your choices and rights
- Delete your account: in the app, go to Settings → Delete account. You can also email us to ask us to delete it.
- Access, correct or export your information: you can edit your profile and your children's profiles in the app, or email us for a copy of your data.
- Tracking: you can allow or deny tracking when iOS asks, and change it at any time in Settings → Privacy & Security → Tracking.
- Permissions and notifications: you can turn off microphone, camera or notification access at any time in your iPhone's Settings.
Depending on where you live (for example in the EU, UK or California), you may have additional rights, such as the right to object to or restrict processing, or to complain to your local data protection authority. Email us and we will respond within 30 days.
Children's privacy
Recordings of children are created and controlled by their parent or guardian, who can review and delete them at any time. If you believe a child has used the app without a parent's consent, contact us and we will delete the information.
Changes to this policy
If we change this policy, we will update the date at the top of this page, and tell you in the app if the change is significant.
