Privacy Policy

Last updated October 19, 2026

Tenfold is an iPhone app that edits talking-to-camera videos. It removes pauses, filler words and retakes, adds captions and reframes your clips. This policy explains what happens to your data when you use it.

In short: your videos, audio, transcripts and captions are processed on your iPhone and are never uploaded. Tenfold has no accounts and never asks for your name or email. The app does send usage, device and purchase data to three services: PostHog (analytics), Superwall (paywall and subscriptions) and AppsFlyer (ad measurement). The rest of this page explains what each one receives.

What stays on your iPhone

What we collect and why

Tenfold does not collect your name, email address, phone number, contacts, photo library or precise location. The services below receive the data described in the table. "Linked to you" means the data is stored with an identifier for your device or app install, not with your name or email.

ServiceDataPurposeLinked to you?Used for tracking?
PostHog
product analytics (servers in the United States)
A random ID created by the app. Device model, iOS version, app version, language and region setting, time zone and screen size. Usage events: app installed, updated, opened and moved to the background; screens viewed (screen names only); onboarding steps and your answers (your role, what you make, videos per week, minutes per video, speech language); your answer to the tracking prompt; clips imported (count and total length); the edits, preset, caption style and aspect ratio you choose; how long processing and exports take and whether they succeed; short failure reasons with file names and paths removed; paywalls shown and closed; limits reached; your plan and billing period. Purchase events: trials and subscriptions, with the product, plan and its US-dollar list price. Your AppsFlyer ID and Superwall user ID, stored on your PostHog profile. PostHog receives your IP address and may use it to estimate your approximate location (city, region and country). To learn which parts of the app work, where people get stuck, and which plans and paywalls people choose. Yes, to the random IDs (see "How the IDs are linked"). No. PostHog data is not used for advertising.
Superwall
paywall and subscription status
A random Superwall user ID created by the app. Your subscription status, the products you have bought, and App Store transaction details. Paywall events, such as a paywall shown or closed, a trial started, a purchase or a restore. Device attributes: device model, iOS version, app version, language, locale and region, time zone, screen size, network type, Low Power Mode, and when the app was installed. Your onboarding answers (role, videos per week, minutes per video, speech language). Your AppsFlyer ID and Apple's Search Ads attribution token. On first launch, Superwall tries to match the install to an ad. It uses your IP address and device signals for this, including the identifier for vendor (IDFV), an ID Apple gives each app maker for your device. It uses the advertising identifier only if you allowed tracking. To show subscription offers, unlock your plan, restore purchases, and measure which paywalls and ads lead to subscriptions. Yes, to the Superwall user ID. Yes. Its install match links your install to ad campaigns. It receives the advertising identifier only if you allow tracking.
AppsFlyer
ad measurement
A random AppsFlyer ID, device type, iOS version and IP address. Events: app install and opens, onboarding finished (sent as "registration"), trial started and subscription started, with the product and its US-dollar list price. Your Superwall user ID, as AppsFlyer's customer ID. Your device's advertising identifier (IDFA), only if you tap "Allow" when iOS asks whether Tenfold may track you. To learn which ads bring people to Tenfold and which of them lead to trials and subscriptions. Yes, to the AppsFlyer ID and Superwall user ID. Yes, if you allow tracking. AppsFlyer may share attribution results with the ad networks that showed you an ad, such as Meta (Facebook and Instagram), TikTok and Google.
Apple
App Store
Your purchase and subscription, handled entirely by Apple. To sell, bill, renew, refund and restore subscriptions. Apple handles this under its own privacy policy. We never receive your payment card details. No.

How the IDs are linked

The three services' IDs are linked to each other. Superwall's user ID is sent to AppsFlyer as its customer ID and stored on your PostHog profile. Your AppsFlyer ID is sent to Superwall and stored on your PostHog profile. This lets us connect an ad, an install, a trial or subscription, and how the app is used. If you allow tracking, the AppsFlyer records also include your advertising identifier.

Deleting and reinstalling the app does not reliably give you new, unlinked IDs. AppsFlyer keeps a value in the iOS keychain so it can recognise a reinstall, and Superwall can recognise your subscription after a reinstall.

Tracking and the iOS tracking prompt

On your first tap in onboarding, iOS asks whether Tenfold may track your activity across other companies' apps and websites.

You can change your choice at any time in the Settings app, under Privacy & Security, then Tracking.

Sharing

We share data only with the service providers named above, which process it under their own terms and privacy policies:

Through AppsFlyer, ad networks such as Meta, TikTok and Google may receive attribution results about the ads they showed. We may also disclose information when the law requires it. These services may process data in the United States and other countries.

Permissions the app asks for

You can change any of these at any time in the Settings app.

How long data is kept

What Tenfold stores on your iPhone stays there until you delete it in the app or delete the app. Exported videos stay in your Photos library until you delete them there.

We keep analytics, paywall and attribution data only as long as we need it to run the app, honour your subscription and understand how the app and its ads perform. PostHog, Superwall and AppsFlyer store it under their own retention settings and policies. Apple keeps purchase records under its own policies. If you ask us to delete your data, we handle it as described below.

Your choices and deleting your data

Children

Tenfold is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect information from them. If you think a child has used Tenfold and you want their data deleted, email us.

Changes

If this policy changes, the new version will be published at this address with a new "last updated" date.
